Menu Plan

I do not always get on the stick and make a menu plan for the week, but it sure helps my shopping have more direction and go faster. Also takes the agony out of the 4:30-5:30 hour when I have to "figure out" what's for dinner. Deciding what's for breakfast is almost as hard so I like to keep a list of ideas. Nice to have a piece of paper on the fridge just tell me. What does it say this week?

Dinner
  • Grilled pork chops, grilled peaches, roasted brussell sprouts
  • Chili-lime chicken burgers (frozen, from Trader Joe's), salsa, avocado, whole wheat buns, warm black bean & corn salad (RR 365 cookbook)
  • Pineapple & ham rice, corn on the cob
  • Persian turkey & vegetables (recipe from Maren), baked potatoes
  • Fish sticks, steamed veggies, roasted purple potatoes
  • Leftovers/eat out
  • Sunday block party potluck picnic - crockpot BBQ pulled pork, rolls, Darn Good Chocolate Cake, lemonade
Breakfast
  • Carrot smoothies
  • grapefruit
  • ham & pepper omelets
  • Morningstar sausage crumbles & egg scramble
  • cereal
  • oatmeal
  • yogurt with flaxseed
Other
  • Apple pie
  • Chocolate zucchini bread
What's on your Menu this week?

Oh, man. I am reading this at 9:40 pm and I'm so hungry!! I want a carrot smoothie and some darn chocolate cake, some roasted purple potatoes and some pineapple and ham rice. YUM! Oh, and I want a Trader Joe's, too.

Someday, someday, I will be organized enough to make menus and stick to them.

Can we eat at your house?
We had taco's tonight and probably will eat the left overs tomorrow.
Stir fry the next day
veggie soup the next day

Our breakfasts usually consist of oatmeal or cereal with juice. Dave make swedish pancakes every Sat. Sometimes I go crazy and make eggs and toast. We're pretty plain around here.

I did however get on a health kick and found this fun website:

You can type in your meal plans for the week. I did it last week and now need to do it this week. I thought it might help me figure out lunches and meals better now that Alyvia is in school.

Cute post about Hazels first day of school. It looks like a great preschool!
Talk to you soon!
