The first weeks of December are some of our favorites all year. One of the ways we count down to Christmas is by hanging an ornament on our advent tree each day, from December 1 to 24. This year there's a slip of paper with the ornament in each pocket telling something big or small we will do that day. Here's our list this year:
25 - Phew, Christmas is here! Mom gets to put her feet up for 10 minutes
24 - Christmas Eve party at our house!
23 - Paint nails
22 - Special family outing (which turned out to be breakfast at Kafe Leopold and later in the afternoon, a visit to the "real" Santa @ Merrifield Garden Center)
21 - Visit the National Botanic Garden's holiday display!
